Remote · custom websites for US businesses
Jeff DeSpain
Custom websites for businesses across the US. I work remotely with owners anywhere in the country—sites, lead capture, integrations, and small custom tools. Based in Phoenix, Arizona. One person to call instead of a pile of vendors.

What I build
Software problems show up as business problems. Here’s the work I take on remotely with businesses across the United States.
Online presence that converts
A fast site, clear contact paths, and the basics that help customers find and reach you.
Tools that don’t talk
Calendars, CRMs, forms, invoicing, and inboxes glued together so work doesn’t die in copy-paste.
Manual processes ready for software
Spreadsheets and repeated busywork turned into simple automations or small internal tools.
Build vs buy decisions
Honest advice on when off-the-shelf is enough—and when a scoped custom piece actually pays off.
Someone on your side of the table
A technical partner who can sit with vendors, translate the jargon, and keep projects honest.
Based in Phoenix
I live in Phoenix, Arizona. In-person meetings are easy around Phoenix and the Valley of the Sun. If you’re anywhere else in the US, we work remotely—calls, text, and screen share.
Common questions
Straight answers if you’re comparing a remote software partner with an agency or a freelancer overseas.
- Do you work with businesses across the US?
- Yes. I work remotely with small and mid-sized businesses across the United States—websites, integrations, automations, and small custom tools—without a full-time hire or a large agency. I’m based in Phoenix, Arizona.
- Do I need to be in Phoenix to work with you?
- No. Calls, text, and screen share are how the work gets done, wherever you are in the US. If you’re in Phoenix or the Valley, we can also meet in person.
- What kind of software consulting do you do?
- I help you decide what to build versus buy, then I own the work: marketing sites, lead capture, system integrations, automations, and scoped custom software. The job is practical delivery—not a strategy deck that sits on a shelf.
- How is this different from hiring a web agency?
- You work with me directly. Agencies are a good fit for some companies; if you want one person who can advise, ship, and stick around as a tech partner, that’s the practice.
- Can I see a site you’ve shipped?
- Yes. The Selling Podcast website is live at https://thesellingpodcast.com. It’s a Next.js and Tailwind CSS site on Vercel for the show hosted by Mike Williams and Scott Schlofman. Episodes come from the show’s Riverside RSS feed, with an in-browser player, a page for each episode, and links to Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music, and the RSS feed.
